CNY dengan pokok Bunga Burung.

Saya tak pasti apa kaitannya pokok bunga burung ni dengan CNY. Yang pasti bunga ini dijual bersama dengan pelbagai pokok yang lain sempena CNY di kebanyakkan pasaraya termasuk Jusco.

Unik betul pokok ni…ianya berbunga burung. Kebiasaanya ia akan keluar sepasang. Sebiji bentuk burung, bereekor n ada sebiji telur di bawahnya. Andai pokok tersebut dijaga n dibaja dengan baik, telur tadi akan membesar menjadi anak benih.

Pokok burung ni bercambah dengan anak benih dari telur tadi. Harganya pun boleh tahan..ada yang RM5, RM18, RM50 dan seterusnya.. Rasanya dah hampir 5 bulan saya beli pokok tersebut dan akhirnya pagi tadi saya nampak 2 benih dah keluar dari bunga burung tersebut…lihatlah gambar kat bawah.. Bolehlah saya cambahkan benihnya nanti.

POKOK BONSAI mertua saya

Nilah pokok bonsai yang menjadi penyeri n sebagai pewangi tambahan ketika sambutan CNY di rumah mertua saya.
Pokok ni berusia anggaran 4 tahun. Maksudnya sebesar usia anak saya. Saya sungguh berminat dengan pokok yang satu ni berbanding pokok bonsai lain kepunyaan mertua saya. Pokok yang banyak ranting ni seimbang antara kiri n kanan. Rendang n nampak sungguh menawan. (pada pandangan sayalah)

Biasanya, sebulan menjelang CNY, mertua saya akan membuang semua daun pada pokok tersebut. Yang tinggal hanyalah ranting2 seperti pokok yang telah mati. Setelah sebulan pokok tu akan mula mengeluar daun2 n bunga2nya sekali. Memutih bunga sekeliling pokok. Bunga yang berbau harum ni akan dapat dihidu sampai ke dalam rumah andai dibawa angin sekali-sekala. Aduh! Nyamannya….

Dalam 3 tahun sekali, beliau akan melakukan pemasuan semula. Dan pokok ni akan tumbuh semula dengan baik setelah semua akar yang x diperlukan dicantas dengan cermat. Wuii…rumit kerjanya…..Pokok Bonsai adalah pokok orang yang sabar. Jadi berbanyaklah bersabar…

How to plant oil palm in Peat soil?

One of my staff has a piece of land in Ayer Hitam, Johor where the land initially was planted with pineapple. Later, his family use this land to plant oil palm (OP) due to the high demand of this crop because they believe OP can give better profit margin compare with pineapple. They faced a lot of problems in planting OP in peat soils and the most common scenario is palm leaning/bend due to the quality of the soil.

Generally, peat soil regarded as fragile environment that require great care in land preparation and management to have “impressive” crop establishment and productivity and one of the crops has been grown successfully on peat area is pineapple.

The question raised if any tendency for OP to replace other crops such as pineapple and below are many success cases:-

The earliest large scale planting on peat were done in Perak
Establishment of the Western Johor Integrated Agricultural Development Project (IADP) around Pontian, Johor
Lately, estimated 100 000 ha of Sarawak peat had been planted with OP

ORKID HARIMAU KENANGAN ARWAH ABAH

Ketika umur saya 7-8 tahun, arwah abah ada membawa pulang sepokok orkid. Bersungguh-sungguh saya tengok beliau menanam. Katanya ni pokok orkid rimau…..

Ditanamnya di dalam sebuah potongan kayu balak yang dalamnya telah dikosongkan. Jadi pelik saya, susahnya nak ditanam pokok ni. Kemudian dipenuhkan dengan arang-arang dan ketulan batu-bata…jenuh nak memenuhkannya tu.

Pokok tu sangat-sangat menjadi. Hidup subur dan beranak-pinak. Tapi saya tak nampak pulak baja apa yang ditaburnya. Akhirnya…. Pokok orkid rimau tu berbunga setelah 6 tahun arwah abah bela dengan kasih sayang….

Mak oiii.. terperanjat saya tengok bunganya…besar tuuu.. baunya wangi betul..patutlah orang kata tulah bunga orkid paling besar. Sampaikan jiran-jiran takut lalu depan rumah waktu malam…

Nilah orkid rimau saya…tanam dalam pasu je…

Pokok tu telah kami tinggalkan setelah arwah abah dijemput Ilahi.. Besar sangat. Mana orang angkat barang pindah tu nak ngangkut. Jadi saya ambil sedikit keratan Tapi tak mau hidup dia dengan keratan tu..Susah gak nak mencambahnya.

Sekarang setelah 12 tahun berlalu..saya teringat akan pokok orkid rimau arwah abah tu. Puas jugak saya cari, hampir setahun baru saya dapat. Saya beli yang saiz besar sikit dengan harga RM38...Kata arwah abah, tanamlah pokok dengan kasih sayang, Jadi bermulalah episod saya pulak menunggu pokok rimau saya ni berbunga. Tak kisahlah berapa lama…. Saya akan tetap menunggu….. AL-FATIHA buat Arwah Abah. Amin.

BUAH MARKISA YANG MASAK MERANUM

Buah ini kebiasaannya menjadi potensi sebagai tanaman yang dikomersialkan. Dijual pada harga RM6 sekilo, membuatkan saya menjadi kisah.

Tumbuhan menjalar ini ditanam dengan suburnya oleh ayah mertua saya. Bukan diladang, hanya disekeliling rumah. Apa yang saya lihat, tumbuhan ini menjalar dan perlukan kayu atau pagar seperti yang di bina oleh ayah mertua saya sebagai tempat sokongan.

Berdaun rimbun memenuhi seluruh sokongan kayu tersebut. Buah mudanya berwarna hijau muda, kemudian bertukar kuning air dan apabila matang menjadi kuning terang seakan buah lemon. Buahnya berbentuk lonjong dan berbau harum apabila ranum. Setelah ditanam hampir setengah tahun, barulah kami dapat merasa buahnya.

Mempunyai struktur kulit yang keras, tetapi isi dalam yang sangat jernih.

Buah yang masih muda …

Di dalam kulit yang keras tadi mempunyai biji-bijian sebesar biji betik disaluti isi yang berwarna kekuningan dan jernih.

Mempunyai kombinasi rasa manis dan masam. Rasa yang unik. Rasa masamnya melebihi rasa manis. Buah yang masak meranum tidaklah terlalu masam berbanding buah yang baru handak matang berwarna kuning air.

Jadi, apabila diberi sebiji yang telah meranum oleh mertua saya, maka saya telah menjadikannya agar-agar markisa. Sungguh enak rasanya. Campurlah 2 atau 3 biji markisah ke dalam agar-agar, rasanya memang unik. Manis dan masam. Dikatakan kaya dengan pro-vitamin A, vitamin C, niasin, dan riboflavin. Ia boleh dijadikan komponen untuk minuman sirap, kek, roti dan susu. Kulit buah markisa pula boleh dijadikan makanan ternakan.

ORKID VANDA BERWARNA MERAH JAMBU

Sebenarnya orkid yang menawan ini telah saya beli selepas Hari Raya Puasa tahun lalu, di nursery berdekatan rumah mak saya di Kluang.

Saya suka warnanya yang cantik berbanding orkid lain di nursery tersebut. Ketika saya membawanya pulang dahulu, saya menggelarkannya sebagai “buah hati” mama kepada anak kecil saya Danish. Jadi Danish sudah tahu yang mana satu orkid buah hati mamanya.

Ketika baru dibeli dengan harga RM25 dia mempunyai 3 tangkai yang berbunga lebat. Setelah hampir 4 bulan beralih angin di bawa ke Melaka, buah hati saya itu akhirnya keluar juga permatanya. Tetapi hanya setangkai sahaja. Jadilah buat penyeri hati saya.

Sebenarnya saya tak tahu apa baja yang penting bagi orkid ini. Apabila saya taburkan najis kambing, mulalah dia punya daun nak kecut-kecut. Ada yang dah mati pulak. Tu yang buat saya panik. Kesudahannya, biarlah dia hidup dengan sendiri dengan disiram air pagi dan petang. Moga-moga akan keluarlah akar yang baru menjalar tanda semuanya subur.

TUMBUHAN KEKACANG YANG KUNING MENAWAN

umbuhan kekacang tanaman tutup bumi ini sangat digemari kebanyakkan orang. Digunakan sebagai tanaman landskap dikebanyakkan rumah kongsi kawasan ladang mahupun perumahan.

Antara yang paling menawan adalah jenis Arachis Pintoi. Antara tumbuhan kekacang paling mudah dijaga, cepat membiak dan berbunga menarik. Menggunakan keratan batang sebagai cambahan. Tanam dengan meluas untuk pembiakan yang cepat.

Lihat struktur daun yang bujur lonjong, menjalar untuk memenuhi ruang kosong yang lain.

Berbunga sangat menarik. Mempunyai jejarum yang sepanjang 4 sentimeter berwarna putih untuk menampung sekeping bunga kecil dan menarik berwarna kuning terang. Dan jejarumnya akan berdiri tegak menampung bunga tersebut setiap pagi.

Cuba anda bayangkan sekiranya ia ditanam dikawasan 4’ x 4’. Dengan kombinasi warna yang menarik iaitu hijau, putih dan kuning, sungguh menawan hati. Halaman yang kosong sudah lengkap rasanya kalau dilatari dengan tumbuhan ini.

Warna yang menarik ini berjaya menarik minat ‘Sang Rama-Rama’. Di kampung saya, bunga-bunganya yang menarik ini menjadi ‘kegilaan’ ayam-ayam kampung untuk sarapan pagi.

Tapi sayang seribu kali sayang bunga yang menarik ini hanya bertahan untuk setengah hari sahaja. Menjelang petang dengan cuaca yang panas semuanya rebah ke bumi. Tapi jangan risau, ianya akan kembali berkembang esok pagi.

Dengan cuaca yang panas begini, eloklah disiram pagi dan petang. Cepat pembiakkannya nanti.

Tanaman organik dari laman Anda

Bendi adalah sejenis tanaman sayuran buah yang berlendir. Enak dimasak bersama kari mahupun digoreng biasa.

Mempunyai bunga yang cantik berwarna kuning. Bunga yang kembang mekar di tengah2nya terdapat sedikit warna merah hanya bertahan untuk tempoh setengah hari. Kudupan bunga yang jatuh dan seterusnya akan menghasilkan buah.

Buah yang sudah boleh dipetik beranggaran 10-12cm panjang. Ketika ini hujung buah masih lembut, hujung rapuh dan mudah untuk dipatahkan. Potong buah 2cm dari tangkainya, sekiranya tercedera lendir yang keluar akan merosakkan mutu buah.

Buah yang sudah berpulur seperti di atas, sudah tidak boleh dimakan. Buah yang sudah tua dan berpulur seakan bersabut isinya, elok dibiarkan kering di pokok untuk dijadikan anak benih. Pokok bendi amat mudah ditanam kerana kurang diserang penyakit mahupun perosak. Kebiasaannya di taman2 perumahan ramai yang menanam pokok sayuran ini sebagai laman dapur.

Tanam biji benih sedalam anggaran 2.5cm di batas. Selubang masukkan 2biji benih. Pastikan jarak tanaman dalam anggaran 80-90cm dan selepas 2minggu cabutlah satu pokok yang kurang subur. Contoh rajah seperti di bawah.

Orkidku yang sakit

Orkid mempunyai begitu ramai pengikut. Tapi bagi yang baru mengenali hobi ini menjadi satu kerumitan untuk menghadapi dan merawat penyakit-penyakit akibat dari serangan kulat terhadap pokok-pokok orkid ini. Seringkali pokok ini akan mati begitu saja, dan akan digantikan dengan yang baru.

Orkid ini adalah dari jenis Phalaenopsis. Orkid ini telah diserang kulat dan mendapat penyakit bintik hitam pada bunga. Kebiasannya bintik-bintik hitam ini diakibatkan daripada serangan kulat ataupun air hujan yang telah tercemar. Mungkin kerana keadaan hujan yang agak berterusan ketika ini, persekitaran terlalu lembab antara punca penyakit ini.

Antara langkah-langkah yang boleh diambil untuk merawat penyakit terhadap pokok orkid ini, kurangkan penyiraman air ketika cuaca lembab dan penyemburan racun kulat secara berkala perlu untuk rawatan awal.

Common weed in Malaysia-Asystasia

Recently I visited my customer’s oil palm land in Yong Peng where he just completed his replanting.

While I walked in the field and noticed that the field full with “unfriendly” weed in this oil palm land. Asystasia is one of them and below photo is how this weed look like.

I abstract some information from “Common weeds of Malaysia and their control” by David E. Barnes & Luz G. Chan.

The weed is categorized under broadleaved weeds and usually planter called this weed as Asystasia (please bear in mind that the “A” of Asystasia should be in capital). However, if you give instruction to estate workers then you should named as “Akar ruas-ruas or Pengorak” (Malay name). The scientific name is Asystasia intrusa BI.

According to the writers, Asystasia has been distributed in Malaysia. Previously confined to South and central Johor (This statement is correct because Yong Peng in the central of Johor) but has spread to Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, West Pahang, Kedah and Kelantan. ( I will verify this statement when I travel to these states)

Usually the habitat of Asystasia in open situations especially during replanting periods such like my clients field.

This is what we means in open space where sunlight can penetrate to the ground surface and Asystasia love this kind of habitat. From this photo, you are also able to identify small spot white flower along the field road and there is Asystasia.

My client is no a professional planter and most the duty were carried out by the contractors with minimum supervision. I can categorized the field in poor management. Most planter aware that Asystasia is a prolific and competitive weed (above photo shows the evidence). It reported that dense growth was competitive to oil palm and removal of the weed resulted in 12% increase in fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production. Asystasia has high demand for nutrients particularly in N & P.

Method of control

1. The book recommend Dasatox F at 40ml (based on 18 litres spray solution). If no mistaken this product no available since I was a planter in year 1998. Usually we will use amine with 1-2mm of 18 litres spray solution. Please take note of this dosage is 1-2mm only. If you overdose the chemical, within a few hours, you are able to see the stem of Asystasia weed will blend down and subsequently dry off. Even this is fast action but your manager will jump on you because amine is a strong chemical which is harm to young palm especially just nearly planted. I can tell you the result because I tested before when I was a young planter.

How to identify the weed

The are 3 methods to identify this weed

1. Stem - soft, can grow to height of 100cm under favorable conditions

2. Leaves - opposite, often equal pairs, elliptical, rounded at the base

3. Inflorescence - terminal, numerous; single flower with small, narrow free sepals, creamy white, an indigo-blue patch on keel petal; corolla tube narrow, cylindrical, expanded above; stamens four in unequal pairs from corolla-tube, arched on the pistil.

This raya when I back to Kluang, Johor. There is new business created by my brother-in-laws. Ikan keli or cat fish. According to them, there are a lot of people look for cat fish in the market.

This batch of cat fish is just one months old. Initially, they bought the baby fish by RM0.18 from local people but later they bough from Pahang supplier by RM 0.12 per fish which is cheaper by RM0.06.
When I check in the website, the rate for 2" cost RM0.10 and 3" cost RM0.12.

The batch of cat fish is 3 months old and anothers 1-2 months can be marketed.

Creative tool in oil palm plantation

Recently, I found a creative tool in one of the estates in Kemayan, Pahang. I can recall when I was in Sg. Jernih Estate, Kerling, Selangor. My workers used to ask me to buy this tool when they did FFB (Fresh fruit bunch) collection in the field.

During my time as senior assistant in 2003, all the loose fruits in the platform needed to collect with the FFB. I told all the harvesters that if the loose fruit no being collected then their wages will drop due to the weight of loose fruit. I always brain wash my harvesters that I was no selling FFB but I was selling oil content from FFB. I need fresh loose fruit and high quality FFB to enable me to gain higher OER.

This is the tool I saw in this estate and it was created from 20 little chemical drum.

This is creative and cheap “invention” without incur additional cost to the estate. I remember that I was using bamboo bucket and normally the bamboo bucket is easily damage due to the rough movement during upload FFB and loose fruit collection. Nearly every month, I need to buy 2 bamboo buckets from Tanjung Malim hardware shop.

There are two types of buckets in the market- plastic and bamboo. I had tested both materials and finally my workers referred to bamboo bucket because it more rough than plastic bucket.

Look at the scoop where it is the handle for the chemical drum. I never think about this when I was in plantation.

The scoop looks simple but it really creative in loose fruit collection. My worker, Jono & Dono also had created a scoop from un-use aluminum harvesting pole. The aluminum portion will be reacting as scoop and the handle is made from wood. The aluminum part is no flat like the above invention but the pattern like a comb where the dash will not be collected during upload the loose fruit from platform.

Old friends from Paloh, Johor

Yesterday, I drop by at Paloh Town to meet some of my old friends.

The Nam Lee coffee shop owner. According to him, he already 70++......do not want to retire, the moment he still can walk...he still want to work until the last day. However, he close the shop a bit early than previuosly. 4 o'clock he will shut down the coffee shop.

We (KLK group) used to come here for evening drink during I was in Paloh.

This is Ah Loh's son. 20 year......can marry already. I still remember his father used to bring him to my estate/office. During that period, he still a teenage, thin and short. But now he is taller and stronger than me.

Ah Loh.....Replanting contractor. Most of the relanting work in Kekayaan is carried out him. hardworking and reable man.

Information regarding POME

The process of extracting CPO from fresh fruit bunches (FFB) requires a significant amount of water to sterilize the FFB and cleanse the pressed CPO.

About 1.5 tonnes of water are required to process each tonne of FFB. More than 50% of this ends up as waste water, commonly referred to as palm oil effluent (POME).

POME consists of 95-96% water, 0.6-0.7% oil and 4-5% total solids. Due to the high content of biodegradable organic matter, it is a potential source of pollutants.

In Malaysia, POME and other environment wastes are regulated by the Environmental Quality Order 1977 and Environmental Quality Regulations 1977, under the Environmental Quality Act 1974.

The most common POME treatment system in Malaysia is biological treatment via a combination of anaerobic, facultative and aerobic open-pond system.

The biogas produced by anaerobic digestion contains 60-70% methane gas, 30-40% carbon dioxide, and a trace of hydrogen sulphide.

Wild bitter gourd

What do you see on the above photo? Yes, there are many kinds of weeds surrounding the palm and one of them is wild bitter gourd.

Where is the wild bitter gourd if you have not seemed before? Wild bitter gourd is one species of creeper and this plant is trying to creep to the palm as shown on above photo.

Let us see how the wild bitter gourd looks like.

This is wild bitter gourd’s leave and the shape like a ‘star’. This creeper looks soft but it creates havoc to planter. I still remember when I was a planter, we spend quite a lot of effort to tackle this plant to avoid it creep our palm. Do you know what happen when wild bitter gourd able to creep the palm. You totally cannot see the oil palm if you do not take immediately action on it. Imaging how the harvester can harvest if you cannot see the palm.

This is wild bitter gourd’s white yellowish flower.

This is wild bitter gourd’s fruit where it is mature to ‘explode’. The shape of wild bitter gourd is rounded compare with the bitter gourd in the market.

Wild bitter gourd can be used to cure diabetes but seldom people are practicing it because the bitter taste. I used to cook with egg and Indian society like to fry it and it taste good.

I still remember chairman’s son asked me could the wild bitter gourd be eaten. I told him yes and instructed my worker to prepare for his dinner. Do you what he told me on the following day. “Lai, I never taste bitter gourd before and yesterday cook is really good.”

This is when the wild bitter gourd’s fruit ‘explode’. Can you see the red seed? This is why the wild bitter gourd germination rate is very fast. We did a survey on the growth of wild bitter gourd and the result shows that the wild bitter gourd can germinate within 22 days. This is a short period and it means we need to spray every month to make sure this creeper does not attach your palm. If in high rainfall period then you can image how fast this plant can grow.

How to control?

We had tested many chemical. One of them is using ‘Stane’ but the cost is not cheap.

Subsequently, we found out that if you maintenance the circle wide enough then it may help you. Increase the circle spray round if possible.

Important of Grant title for Oil palm small holder

Recently, one of my customers is chasing me for QT. He said he wants to do replanting for his oil palm plantation. I also wonder why he chases me for QT because he can do without waiting me for QT. I met him on the following week and realized that how important of title to this small holder.

What is QT? QT stands for qualify title or in layman term it call by temporary grant. Every land or property needs a title. This piece of paper content of ownership information, lot number, area and the most important is annual tax. With this piece of paper, you can get loan from bank or do any trading such as sell or buy property.

Similarly to my customer, he wants QT to apply subsidy from RISDA. I think this subsidy are not aware by many small holders either your land planted with oil palm or rubber. You are entitled with government subsidy. The amount is no small and it really can assist you when you do replanting where replanting cost is huge.

The other information I need to share is when you are sharing a title with somebody. You do not have the right to sell or borrow loan from bank and also apply in RISDA application. This is normal problem face by small holders, they used to blame government and complaint that government can not give them grant.

If you have this problem, please do not worry and there is a solution to get your own title. The process is call partition survey where the title split into number of lot accordingly to the application. Please bear in mind that this application only can be carried out by Licensed Land Surveyor.

Last week, one of my planter's friend told me that one tonne of FFB can sale by RM800. Wah...great income. Thus, security in transporting either in internal or external, the management should enforse high security system to ensure all the FFB crop is safe during transportation to mill.

Yesterday I read an article regarding oil palm yield compare with others crop and noticed that oil palm can produce average oil by 3.74 ton/ha/year.

This is why a lot of foreign countries try to plant this crop around Malaysia & Indonesia. Today, a lot of oil palm smaller holder are smiling because average per ton, they can able to earn is around RM700/ton. What a great income to malaysian. This is my gardener when I was in Sg Jernih Estate. I can say that Sarawathy (her name but I used to greet her as "Achi", "Achi" means aunty in Tamil language) is a hardworking woman I have seen in my life.

Her husband left her with a daughter but as a mother, she believed that she can survive if she work hard.

Even though, she greet me as "aya" (estate worker need to solute the officer as sir) but I treat her as part of my family. I understand that she need more money to support her daughter. Thus, as a top management, I will give her a lot work that she can earn. She never refuse my work and always work in neat. she is the best worker in my life as planter.

Incident of robbery and murdered happened on 17 December 2006 in Leepang A Estate, Muadzam Shah has alerted all the top managements for all the plantation companies in Malaysia.

Can this tragedic be avoided? The answer should be "Yes". Let us review back when the Planterprepare the estimate for the next finance year. How much we as a Planter budgetted for AuxiliaryPolice (AP)? Please ask ourselve by sincerely. Why we need to take a risk for your company? Top management only know to see the figure in account and how many profit can be absorded fromyour operating centre. They will attempt to cut off the estimate you allocated.

I used to see estate or mill's manager to recruit watchman rather than a AP. We need to understand that the power of AP and watchman. Cost management is important in running a operating centreand I have been go through the environment.

Look at the bank sector. How many AP the Banker recruited for their security? The Bank compound issmall and they are able to recruit enough AP for their security. Why no to estate? People can say that bank is full of money. How about estate? Estate is more valueable than bank. If youknow about rubber or oil palm price that you will know how costly the estate in this moment.

Theft have been occured either in oil palm or rubber plantation because the demanding of thesemain crop where these two crop contribute the major income for our nation.
I still remember when I was a Planter in one of the small operating centre and there is only 2AP to take care of estate. Can they run their duty in proper way? Are the Planter cheating ourselve.
Some smart manager recruited watchmen to replace AP. Some even smart use foreign Indonesia workeras watchman by paying lower rate. This is cheap method to reduce your operating cost. Imaging suddenly,there is a robbery occurred on the night and perhaps it happened to the victim. What the watchmancan do?

Do no forget robber come with gun, no by knive. In Malay phrase, they used to mention that "prepare an umbrella before rain."

Recruitment of AP should tally review by top management and it should recruited by a profesionalbody where AP need a proper training before posted to estate. Some time AP can not able to shootduring shooting training. Can this kind of AP to protect estate property?

Please think my all dear planter. We work hard for employee and do not become a hero where I cansay it will end out with death. After you dead, no people will appeciate your effort and blame you for careless in management.

What is the meaning of "manager"? If you still do not know your role as manager. Please ask yourselfnow. Should we explode us or your family in danger. Is it worthy!

Dear Planter, we are the great person. We always lead and towards success. This article no to condemn the security system in plantation. Proud of your Professional title

Planter is well recognized as a Professional organization. They plant rubber, oil palm, and fruit where they create a lot of work opportunity to Malaysian since from those days. Plantation is a not a sunset industry and now with the bio-diesel, plenty of investor pump their money in this industry.

In Malaysia, the entire Planter member is register under Institution of Planter (ISP). ISP has been organized a lot of activities for the Planter and the effort is highly appreciated.

However, let us look at others professional body. I code a few well know Professional body in this world such as Engineer, Architect and Surveyor.

They are proud with their organization of the given title to them. Example Member of Engineer is entitled with title “IR”, Architect with title “AR” and recently, Surveyor in Malaysia managed to get the Title of “SR”. How about Planter?

Perhaps Planter will say they not need the title because the worker will automatic greet them as “Tuan” in Malay or “Sir” when they join as a planter career.

No doubt this is a great title but it does not recognized. Believe me, when you are using the recognized title. People will view from other angle because the simple 2 wording can represent you as a Professional.

Hence, I would like the ISP will work on the title for the entire member.

How to get a Fresh Vegetable in your garden?

Fresh vegetable is good for human health and the best is organic vegetable. Today I will show a few photos regading cooking vegetable in my garden.

It is simple and can be planted by everybody especially to a housewife. As we understand that a lot of farmers are using chemical on their vegetable and it is harm to human health. Organic vegetable is very expensive at the market and the best solution is to get the vegetable seed and plant on you own. Treat it as your gardening activities. Enjoy planting vegetable because the taste of vegetable you planted will be difference. You are eating your fresh and organic vegetable. You can guarantee the vegetable is freely from chemical. Am I right?

Hence, go to nearby supermarket and buy the vegetable seed you want to plant. But ensure the market is selling high quality seed. For starting, I recommend to start with a small packet to try the germinate rate of the seed.

You need a plastic box to fill in the soil. Use fertile soil where the color should be in black color as you can see in the photo. You can get from nearby supermarket or nursery.

Sow the seed into the water and after 10 minute; throw away the floating seeds because there are low quality seed.

After that, you can use the balance seeds for your planting materials.

Ensure that no ant is around the compound because they will take away your seed as their food.

Ensure you cover the seed with soil, do not allow explosion of sun light.

No deep planting. Deep planting will delay the growth of the plant.

Do watering on morning and evening daily unless rain.

Transplants the seed after 6 inch (about 2 weeks) where you can see the plant have minimum 2 leaves.

Keep a distance between the plants about a foot to allow the vegetable will get enough sunlight when they grow.

Wait until the vegetable grow as tall as in the above picture and you can start harvest.

It is not a mushroom. Is cow dung. I sure a lot peolpe don't like this dirty method to manual their plant but believe me. It is good for the plant but premix with soil before manual. My mum use to manual her orkid with cow dung. The worst part is she buy the cow dung because it is nature organic. No harm to human. hahaha....there is my mum. Orkid lover.
